The Greater Sydney Commission and its three committees are established by the Greater Sydney Commission act.


Full Commission

The Full Commission generally meets four times a year.

The ex-officio members includes the Chief Executive Officer and the Secretaries of the following state government departments:

Progress & Reporting

The Greater Sydney Commission is required to publish minutes of its full Commission meetings. Minutes are endorsed at the next Commission meeting, prior to publication. 

Operational policies

At the Greater Sydney Commission the decisions, behaviours and actions of our staff are guided by a comprehensive range of policies and procedures. This allows us to maintain effective, efficient and consistent operations throughout the organisation.

The Greater Sydney Commission has its own Code of Ethics and Conduct policy that applies specifically to the Greater Sydney Commission members.

The Commission makes available on request any policy that affects or is likely to affect members of the public.
