Embracing the enthusiasm of the youth

Youth panel
10 Dec 2019
The Greater Sydney Youth Panel has enthusiastically embraced its role of being a voice for young people in planning Greater Sydney. The Panel has chosen three topics as the priorities of their two-year term: the challenges of finding a place to live, obtaining a job and making Greater Sydney more sustainable.

The Panel’s ten members, aged 18-28 and representing each of the five districts, are working with the Commission’s subject matter experts on the three topics, aligned to the objectives of the Greater Sydney Region Plan.  Their work will be presented to the Commissioners to feed into our future programs.

Panel members have also attended local events with their District Commissioner, presented to the National Youth Commission on employment and transitions and played key roles in the Women and Safety in the City symposium.
