Jane will take up the role in late August, replacing Dr Sarah Hill who has been appointed CEO of the new Western Parkland City Authority.
Chief Commissioner, Geoff Roberts AM, said “Jane is widely regarded as an outstanding public policy professional with more than 25 years’ experience delivering policy, strategy and organisational leadership at the highest levels of government and more recently the private sector.”
“Joining us most recently from the NSW Division of the Property Council of Australia, Jane’s knowledge, insights and experience of the planning and property sector will be invaluable to the Commission,” he said.
Jane says it is an honour to be able to help realise the Three Cities vision for a more liveable, productive and sustainable Greater Sydney.
“As a lifelong Sydneysider, I am profoundly humbled to be taking on this role at such a pivotal time in our history. I look forward to supporting Geoff and the other Commissioners in taking the organisation into this critical next phase at a time when it truly can help accelerate Greater Sydney’s recovery from COVID-19.”
Jane will join the Commission on a one-year contract and the Commission will undertake a formal open recruitment process in early 2021 for an ongoing appointment.
